New Cathay Pacific lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport
New Cathay Pacific lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

Cathay Pacific`s new lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is now open.

Located at Level 3 in the Concourse G Departure Hall, the 679 sq.m. facility can seat approximately 140 people. It replaces the Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge at Level 3 in the Concourse D Departure Hall, which will now close to passengers.

Designed by Studioilse, the London-based design studio led by Ilse Crawford, the new space offers a comfortable environment, where First and Business Class passengers can relax before their flight. This has been archieved by working with warm, natural materials like wood and stone, softening the acoustics where possible and adopting a considered approach to lighting. Cherrywood walls and limestone floor are combined with lots of plants adding color to the space.

The overall feeling of the lounge is more like a living room than an airline lounge. Natural sunlight filters through the windows, where chairs and side tables with in-built lamps and sockets are placed. Guests can enjoy the view of the airport runway and beyond.

Facilities include The Burreau with three individual workstations with dual operating system iMacs and printer. Free Wi-fi access is available throughout the lounge.

The dining area features Cathay Pacific`s signature The Noodle Bar, which offers a selection of Asian noodles, freshly prepared by a chef. A Thai breakfast is served during the morning, until 11:00 a.m.. Another dining highlight is the Food Bar, where passengers can enjoy a wide selection of lighter items such as salads, pastries, and other desserts. Freshly blended cocktails and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks are served at the Bar.
