New Business Lounge At Salzburg Airport

Salzburg Airport opened its first business lounge at Terminal 1. This newly arranged lounge area offers 80 sq.m. of space to serve up to 25 guests in a relaxing atmosphere. Views onto the apron and friendly service will make you feel comfortable. Lounge amenities include two computer workstations with printer, free Wi-fi, news television and restrroms. Refreshments will be served throughout the day. Opening hours are daily from 05:00 a.m. to 09:00 p.m.

Lisbon Aiport opened its new Lounge ANA, located on the 6th floor, after the security checkpoint.

With over 900 sq.m. and a wall to wall window offering panoramic views onto the runway, the lounge provides a place of relaxation and entertainment. Comfortable seating, individual resting areas, varied snacks and drinks, shower facilities, a smoking area, free Wi-fi access, international and local newspapers and magazines, as well as flight information monitors complete an array of amenities.

The Lounge ANA is available to passengers from 05:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m..

Emirates has opened its first lounge in Japan, in Terminal 2 of Narita International Airport. This facility is the first airline-owned lounge in Japan and the 38th dediacted lounge worldwide. Spanning an area of 936 sq.m. in size, the lounge offers plenty of space to accommodate up to 174 guests.

"Our commitment to the highest standards of quality in every aspect of our business is the secret of Emirates` success. The new Emirates Lounge at Narita expresses that commitment in a very concrete way, said Mr Matter, Emirates` Divisional Senior Vice President Airport Services, during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Guests are able to choose from a complimentary selection of beverges and a wide range of hot and cold delicacies from a gourmet buffet.

LED TVs provide the latest news and entertainment, while a fully equipped business center is available to catch up on business before flight. Complimentary Wi-fi service is offered throughout the facility. Passengers are also able to freshen up prior to their flight and enjoy the lounge`s shower facilities.

Opening Hours: 05:20 p.m. - 09:20 p.m. (Tue, Wed), 06:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Sun, Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat).

Cathay Pacific`s new lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is now open.

Located at Level 3 in the Concourse G Departure Hall, the 679 sq.m. facility can seat approximately 140 people. It replaces the Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge at Level 3 in the Concourse D Departure Hall, which will now close to passengers.

Designed by Studioilse, the London-based design studio led by Ilse Crawford, the new space offers a comfortable environment, where First and Business Class passengers can relax before their flight. This has been archieved by working with warm, natural materials like wood and stone, softening the acoustics where possible and adopting a considered approach to lighting. Cherrywood walls and limestone floor are combined with lots of plants adding color to the space.

The overall feeling of the lounge is more like a living room than an airline lounge. Natural sunlight filters through the windows, where chairs and side tables with in-built lamps and sockets are placed. Guests can enjoy the view of the airport runway and beyond.

Facilities include The Burreau with three individual workstations with dual operating system iMacs and printer. Free Wi-fi access is available throughout the lounge.

The dining area features Cathay Pacific`s signature The Noodle Bar, which offers a selection of Asian noodles, freshly prepared by a chef. A Thai breakfast is served during the morning, until 11:00 a.m.. Another dining highlight is the Food Bar, where passengers can enjoy a wide selection of lighter items such as salads, pastries, and other desserts. Freshly blended cocktails and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks are served at the Bar.

Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited, opens the first independent lounge at the departures of London Heathrow Terminal 4 to all travelers regardless of airline or class of travel. The stylish and contemporary lounge is a pay-in facility, which includes wide choices of food and beverage, complimentary Wi-fi and shower.

The Plaza Premium Lounge is light, airy and spacious. Natural light floods through floor-to-ceiling windows and skylight, making it a relaxing place to rest or work. The black and white tiled kitchen area with live cooking station and buffet is at the center of the lounge, offering a selection of Asian and European inspired dishes. Passengers can even get halal prepared food. 

There are productivity pods for those looking for peace and quiet to work, Skype family and friends or watch a film on their tablet. A separate bar area, elegantly designed with hues of yellow and grey acts as the lounge`s social hub.

As Turkish Airlines looks to move into its new hub at Istanbul New Airport in 2018, it has plans to bring more comfort to the terminal experience for all passengers, not only business travelers. CEO Temel Kotil intends to provide a dedicated lounge for Economy passengers on long-haul routes. Comparable to a business class lounge, complimentary food offerings and shower facilities will be available to Economy-Passengers.

SilverKris Lounge now open in Heathrow T2

Singapore Airlines has opened a SilverKris Lounge in London Heathrow`s Terminal 2.

Located in T2B close to Gate B36, the new lounge follows Singapore Airlines worldwide "home away from home" concept, which is thoughtfully designed and modelled to provide a sense of "being home".

With separate areas dedicated to First and Business Class guests, a total of 208 seats are offered.

Lounge features include a living room, a specific dining room, a bar, specially designed productivity pods, private cove areas, showers and roving hosts to look after guests throughout their stay.

As part of the design, a completely new Gallery space is also offered close to the entrance. Providing a residential feel including curated art pieces, the space offers selected self-service drinks and snacks, as well as travel concierge facility.

First class guests will benefit from both a self-service buffet area and an a la carte offering, where five different menus will be available throughout the day. At least two different menus are provided at any one time to ensure a wide selection of choices. Business class guests  will enjoy a self-service buffet, offering menu items cooked freshly on-site. The Business Class area also includes a bar area, completed with a professional bar tender. First Class guests will also have access to visit the bar area..

airberlin opened its latest Exclusive waiting Area at the new Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg.

"Take off relaxed". Guests can now enjoy a place where their imagination can soar or they can prepare for upcoming appointments before departure.

"Many of our passengers are business flyers, who will now enjoy exclusive comfort. Passengers can pass the time up until boarding effectively, or simply relaxing in the Exclusive Waiting Area at gates A13/A14", said Götz Ahmelmann, Chief Commercial Officer (COO) at airberlin.                            

Passengers can use the 100 sq.m. Exclusive Waiting Area, which provides 48 seats. Features include comfortable leather sofas, complimentary hot and cold refreshments, free newspapers and magazines, and power outlets for charging electronic devices.

The lounge is located in the Deparure Area, close to Gate A13/A14 and is open daily from 04:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m..

Emirates has opened a lounge at Los Angeles International Airport. The USD 6.2 million facility, which is the Gulf airlines`s 37th lounge worldwide, is located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

The new lounge offers seating for up to 157 guests covering an area of 840 sq.m..

The fresh design has the same attention to detail as the other Emirates`lounges throughout the world, where guests can enjoy an array of luxurios facilities and amenities.

Features include free Wi-fi, LED TVs, reading areas, a terrace view, comfortable leather armchairs, a "choice of formal and relaxed seating", showers, a prayer room and a fully-equipped business center and bespoke artwork.

A private chauffeur-drive service is also available for first and business class passengers within 60 miles of the airport.

There`s an extensive open buffet of gourmet dishes from both the United States and around the world, as well as a complimentary full-bar service including premium wine, spirits and champagne.

"Our third dedicated airport lounge in the US underpins our commitment to providing our premium customers with a great travel experience, and delivering on the high standards they have come to expect from Emirates.
