General Impression

The SFO Board Room is pleasant, though somewhat small. At many times of the day you end up sharing a space with other people: four chairs around a shared coffeetable, for example. I don't know the maximum capacity, but I'd be surprised if it's over 50 or so. People talking loudly on their cell phones can be an issue. The staff is very friendly, and when they have time, walk around and ask people if they'd like additional drinks, which they deliver to you at your seat. Nice but not spectacular views of the tarmac.

Food and Beverages

Free snacks: crackers, packaged cheese, some fresh fruit and veggies, and dipping sauces. Free alcoholic drinks, limited to three per day per traveler. A few beer selections, including Alaskan Amber; red and white wine, and free vodka-based drinks. Free soda and juice.

Entertainment and Business-facilities

Free wifi internet and local phone calls. Television in one far end of the room.

Visitor Comments

The crown jewel of SFO is the international terminal (although the domestic terminal is also being spiffed up). Some of the lounges are in the domestic terminal, which is a good hike from the international terminal. The thing to keep in mind about the Alaska Board Room (and most lounges at SFO) is that it is past security. SFO is known for great shopping and food, and most of the best shops and restaurants are in the main international concourse, before security and the gates. 90 minutes or less, stay in the lounge. However, if you have a couple of hours or more to spend, get into the main international terminal, enjoy, and then go back through security to get to your flight! The crown jewel of SFO is the international terminal (although the domestic terminal is also being spiffed up).
