Aesthetically, it's unlike any other, with panoramic views of the city and an outdoor terrace. New Seattle Delta Sky Club
New Seattle Delta Sky Club

Delta`s $21 million new Sky Club has opend at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The new 21,000-sq.-ft. club, located at the corner of Concourse A and B, features 30-ft. ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests may enjoy runway and tarmac views with Mount Rainier in the distance. The large windows reduce glare and allow guests to stay connected to the outdoors.  It`s a two story club which may accommodate up to 416 guests.

The interior design features natural hardwood tables, curvy wood-paneled walls and ceilings, colorful living glass and shapes that highlight themes of water and technology.

I like how spacious the new lounge is," said May L., a Delta customer. "With the large windows and additional space upstairs, it doesn`t  feel cramped. At the same time, the seating arrangement offers guests a more private space if they want that, too," referring to high-backed seats called "hush pods" made for intimate talks.

A spacious bar and food area serves light meals, salads, soups, Beecher`s Mac & Cheese and Alki Bakery products.

The Spa inside the club, in partnership with Asanda Spa, offers massages and facial treatments. There are also six shower suites with shampoo, shower gel, lotion, towels and hair dryer.

Guests may relaxe with a drink and bite as they browse The Gallery, a curated art program showcasing work from emerging artists and local galleries.

"I think the art makes the Club so much more personable," Craig Alan, one of the artists, said. "It`s not just a random print that`s on the wall- there`s a lot of throught behind each piece in here." Alan, whose father was a Delta pilot, said having his work included in the new Club was an honor. "Now, we`re both a part of the Delta family, him through aviation and me through art."

Joan H., an event attendee, commented: "The art really transforms the club from just a waiting room at the airport. It`s beautiful."
