Location, Hours and Access

• Location: Terminal 1, opposite gate 24 (located in one of the International piers)
• Opening Hours: From noon until last SAA departure (around 9 pm)

  • South African First Class passengers (there is a first class section to the left of the reception)
  • South African Business Class passengers
  • Star Alliance Gold with a same day Star Alliance boarding pass (OK to use the SAA lounge flying BMI)

General Impression

Very nice lounge with a cool African interior, not the average business class lounge. Very friendly and helpful staff, both at the reception and at the bar. The lounge can get crowded in the evenings with three daily departures to South Africa.

Food and Beverages

Full bar service (there is even a real bar) with wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Red wine is also available for self service in the lounge. Only snacks to eat though (cookies, crisps etc).

Showers and Spa

There are showers in the lounge.

Entertainment and Business-facilities

Three computers with free internet, but the connection is very slow. There are two wide-screen TVs and the usual selection of magazines and newspapers.
