Location, Hours and Access

  • Location: The Baobab Lounge is situated on the upper-mezzanine level (airside) of the International Departures Terminal. After immigration, go straight for about 300m, then left, take escalator up one floor. It's right next to Emirates lounge.

General Impression

New location, reopened June 2010

  • Medium large lounge; crowded during peaktimes (late afternoon/early evening)

Food and Beverages

No self service, drinks and food are served by waiters at the bar; medium food selection (sandwiches); soft drinks, beer, wine, champagne and other spirits. Lower your expectations from the food selections you might find in other international lounges. Your food selection includes 3 different types of pre-made sandwhiches wrapped in plastic.


Showers and Spa

Restrooms and showers are located inside the lounge; If you want to use the showers, you need to hand in your boarding card to get a towel. Shower rooms are spacious and have sinks so you can change your clothes and brush your teeth before your trans-oceanic flight. A cleaning crew works efficiently to keep the showers available for the evening departures. Showers are hot and steamy, can feel like a steam room after showering.


Entertainment and Business-facilities

Office Area, Reading Area, international news papers and magazines; 8 workstations with internet access; wireless internet access (pay using a credit card).
