Visitor Comments

I came in to the United Red Carpet Club last week after flying upgraded Business Class on United from SFO. I was told that only full-fare Business and First passengers are allowed to use the shower facilities. I complained to United through their web site, and they said that has always been their policy, and they are just now starting to enforce it. Apparently paying $300 for membership, $2300 for a ticket and 30,000 miles for an upgrade aren't enough. I went to the Senators Lounge and took a shower there. Jpsidell 14:41, 26 May 2007 (CEST) The showers are free only if you arrive on a UA flight. Those departing on UA or any other carrier will pay US$50 for entering the showers if they so desire.

I had a similar experience when flying in to Frankfurt from Chicago. A Million Mile flyer, I would be a fool to pay full fare for a business class seat when I could get an upgrade. For the last 5 years, I was able to get into the shower withoout an issue. But not in 2007, the interesting thing is that the Red Carpet staff themselves had contradictory information as to what the policy actually was. Ultimately when I communicated with the Red Carpet Administrator when I returned back to the US, I again received contradictory information. AristidesSmith 18:00, 13 June 2008 (CST)
