The 75 Dhs (about 16 Euro) are very reasonable for this lounge with its wide selection of drinks, snacks and a choice of two or three meals. I'm here at every stopover in DXB. --Thozi 23:56, 16 Jul 2006 (CEST)
When my wife and I were there for a 7 hour stopover it was very busy and loud, the staff were not friendly and they reminded us that the lounge is not for sleeping in. Annoyingly they did not accept my Visa card or even Euro notes! They made us go away and change money to US dollars. The chairs were uncomfortable, dirty and worn, half of the internet consoles were out of order and there were no shower facilities. Something else other travellers should know is that the walls in the lounge only go half way to the high airport ceiling so all the noise of a thousand people outside pours over the walls. The whole experience was about as relaxing as a traffic jam.
Overall we were both very disappointed because we'd read good reviews and obviously expected something pretty good. We know to avoid the Marhaba Lounge next time and I hope this review prepares other travelers who may be in for an unpleasant surprise.
